Brief Course Description: the Gospel of Mark
1. Mark is the shortest Gospel
2. Maybe the earliest Gospel written in around AD 50
3. Describes Jesus as the Servant of God, completely obeying the will of the Father
4. He came to serve and save (Mark 10:45)
5. Jesus called Himself the Son of Man  (14 times)
6. Mark also proves that Jesus is the Son of God (Mar 1:1,11; 9:7; 3:11; 5:7; 15:39)
7. Mark emphasized the things Jesus has done (18 miracles, only 4 parables)
8. "Immediately" appears 40 times in NAS
9. Mark has 661 verses, of which 600 verses can be found in either Matthew or Luke (or both)
10. A key emphasis is on "Discipleship"

Message from Dr Koh Siang Kiang. Hello everyone, thank you for your love, prayers & words of encouragement during my time of bereavement of the passing of Mrs Poulson. I’ve journeyed the last 19 years carrying for her through old age and two bouts of cancer, the last of which took her home to glory. 14 of those years I took care of both her and Dr Poulson, with help from lived in helpers only for 8 of those 19 years.  Suddenly I feel tired and think I need to take a break for a couple of months (I still have my ministry at Singapore Bible College that I must continue).  So I would temporarily halt the class until July 2022.
